On the third night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, President Trump made another appearance like the night before; however, he did not speak, but it was interesting to see his reactions to speakers like his Vice Presidential pick J.D. Vance, his son, Don Jr. introducing his grandaughter, Kai Trump, William Pekrul a 98-year-old World War II Veteran from the greatest generation, the relatives of service members who were killed due to Biden’s failed leadership during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. The theme of the night centered around how weak the U.S. had become under Biden’s failed leadership and how world leaders see Biden’s weakness as an opportunity to take advantage of others.
Here are some highlights from the night.
When Gold Star Family members Christy Shamblin, Cheryl Juels, Herman Lopez, and Alicia Lopez spoke, it was a somber reminder of the consequences of Biden’s failed leadership. They were family members of the service members killed at the Kabul airport bombing during the disastrous U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and it was a reminder that they should still be alive. They said Biden never once said their names. Then they were speaking on stage, they went on to say that Trump was the only one who called and showed that he really cared.

Cheryl Jules and Christy Shamblin, the Aunt and Mother-in-law of Nicole Gee, recalled how Trump spent six hours with her, allowing them to grieve, and that she felt that she was not alone in her grief for the first time because of Trump’s empathy. The crowd chanted. “Don’t Forget” at the tearful mention that Joe Biden forgot those who died. Trump reacted with an upset face about what Biden did, but also gave a kind smile at the crowd chanting not to forget.

Also, during the night, there were some sad stories in regard to what happened in Israel and how an American hostage’s whereabouts are not known. The family of Omer Neutra, an American-Israeli hostage in Gaza, blamed Biden for not doing anything. Thousands of Republicans chanted, “Bring them home,” demanding the release of the more than 100 hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
Ronen and Orna Neutra, Omer’s parents, spoke, and Ronen pointed out, “Over 1,200 people were slaughtered. Of them, 45 were American citizens. Where is the outrage? Where is it? This was not merely an attack on Israel. This was and remains an attack on Americans.” Even though Trump was not in office, he called them.

Another highlight of the night was when a 98-year-old WWII veteran and father of 11 children, Sgt. William Pekrul, brought down the house with the crowd chanting “U.S.A.!” He received a standing ovation and spoke with more clarity, reading his speech better than Biden ever could with a teleprompter.
Some of his notable comments that had the crowd on its feet in approval were:
“America, people say, America is an idea. But I believe that America is much more than that. America is our home.”

He also made the audience cheer like crazy when he said,
“With President Trump back as Commander in Chief, I’d reenlist again.”

When Trump’s choice for Vice President, J.D. Vance, got up to speak, he formally accepted the nomination to run with President Trump.
He had the whole crowd in cheers after saying,
“They accused him of being a tyrant. They said he must be stopped at all costs, but how did he respond? He called for national unity, for national calm, literally right after an assassin nearly took his life. He remembered the victims of the terrible attack, especially the brave Corey Comperatore, who gave his life to protect his family. … And then President Trump flew to Milwaukee and got back to work.”
He also noted a lot about his hillbilly upbringing, how he ended up a Yale Law School graduate and a Marine Corps veteran during the Iraq war, and related to others who were struggling in Biden’s economy, and how jobs were going overseas.
One of the funniest moments of the night was when J.D. Vance got up to speak and was telling life stories, including that when his grandmother died, the family found 19 loaded handguns around her house.
